The Do’s and Don’ts of Walking Your Dog

One of the best exercises for dogs would be walking. This simple activity will help him not just to release his pent up energy or keep him as fit as possible—it will also provide him a great opportunity to socialize with other dogs and enjoy the beautiful environment. However, this activity may not be a walk in the park for you (pun intended).

In fact, you will surely encounter plenty of problems along the way. In addition to that, there are also many things you will tend to do wrong. To help make sure that the walking experience will be a fun time for you, your dog and the other people around you, here are some of the do’s and don’ts to keep in mind:

  • Do pick up after your dog.

One of e things that you will surely hate when you walk your dog is him pooping everywhere he wants. If your dog poops at the sidewalk, it is important that you pick up after him. Make sure that you will bring a plastic glove that you can use to pick up the poop. In addition to that, you should also have a  paper bag with you so you will have something to put the poop in. Leaving a steaming pile of poop in the middle of the road is just a big no-no as someone may accidentally step on it. Plus, it can also be unsanitary.
